Description: This kilim is an example of the very rare 'shaggy carpet' style most likely made by Vlach (Aromanian) weavers with the yarn partially felted. It is one panel of a typically three-panel kilim and served as a sleeping mat or as a divan or bench cover. It was dyed with natural dyed. It sports a blue, serrated edge pattern on three sides and is decorated with designs meant to protect against evil.
