A large, floral kilim found in the western Balkans that would have been purchased and used by a wealthy family for use at weddings and other special events. It has barely been used and was kept safe in a cedar chest. The long sides have a nice, complicated toothed red edge. A Black band encases the whold kilim and supports a continuous band of three different types of flowering plants. A smaller border follows in lilac with small purple flowers with green vines wrapping around it entirely and continuously. A deep, rich red field has its four corners filled with folliage with what may be five different flowers. The central wreath of six flowers and folliage surrounds a central lilac, burgundy, teal, white, mint green, and peach flower all outlined in black. An attractive white fringe is found on the short ends.
